Walking a job with the drawings on an iPad is faster than a clipboard: each punch item sits on the plan where the problem is, with a photo, who it's assigned to and its status. When you're done, the report goes to the sub as a PDF.
Pick the Punch item tool
It's in the Insert group of the toolbar.
Pin each item
Tap the spot on the plan that needs work, describe it, pick who it's assigned to, and add a photo from the camera if it helps. Save it.
Track it
Open the Punch tab on the right. Every item is listed with who it's assigned to and its status. Tap a status at the top to show only those items.
Send the report
Tap Punch report (PDF) in the Punch tab, or choose File › Punch report (PDF). The report lists every item with what's wrong, who it's assigned to and its status.
Tips
- Change an item's status as work is done; the report always shows where things stand.
- With device sync on, items you pin on an iPhone on site show up on the iPad and desktop.
