How to combine PDFs on iPad

Drawing sets often arrive as one PDF per discipline. Combining them into one set makes them faster to page through and to send. PlanDesk keeps each file's markups, scales and sheet names, and adds a bookmark for each.

  1. Open Combine PDFs

Choose File › Combine PDFs. The drawing you have open is already in the list, with its markups.

  2. Add the other files

Tap Add PDFs and pick them from Files, iCloud Drive or any connected drive.

  3. Put them in order

Use the up and down arrows to order them, like architectural, structural, then MEP.

  4. Combine

Name the new file and tap Combine. The combined set opens with a bookmark for each original file; tap Save PDF to keep it.

Tips

  • To split a set instead, use Document › Extract sheets.
  • File › Create PDF from photos or images turns site photos into a PDF you can mark up.
